D9Firearms – Firearms Update

Sunday, November 16th, 2008

Folk’s we are busy.  If we have promised you a firearm that means we have it.  Currently we are now running about 2 – 3 weeks behind schedule on AR & LR rifle assemblies, but rest assured for those of you who we’ve committed to we do have your work order on the bench or in staging. (We would rather delay you by a week then send out a rifle that did not receive the proper love and affection during the building process.  (This love and affection get’s close to the same love and affection I have for lovely Mrs. D9.))

Additionally, for this week only we plan to postpone local firearms sales and transfers until late in the week.  This is to allow us to catch up on paper work, perform inventory, build some rifles, and take a breath (and of course keep the Mrs. D9 happy, because if she’s not happy none of us are going to be).

We have placed multiple orders for a variety of barrels from several of our vendors.  Unfortunately they are quoting 2 – 3 months lead time, however we’ve had several on order prior to the election.  We will also be transitioning from selling stripped lowers to complete lowers so that it will match up with our supply of parts.  (It doesn’t do us any good if we have one component and not the other and are left with a supply of items we can’t sell, which also prevents us from ordering additional components).

Currently we have exhausted our supply of DPMS & Rock River lowers, but have YHM lowers available.  Additionally, unless absolutely necessary we will try to continue being supplied at the wholesale level.  (We’ve had to buy a few things recently at retail level and that hurts.)

As we stated we can still get handguns but everything is trending to the higher end, which isn’t a bad thing, but hampers some from expressing their 2nd Amendment.  We also have a supply of suppressors inbound.  For our local customers we do have a variety of ammunition on hand for sale.  For our custom ammunition we are temporarily suspending sales to allow us to catch up on general firearms sales.

Please be patient we will respond to your inquiries via phone or email.

Thanks

D9Firearms – Mr. & Mrs. D9 Attend Local US Marine Corps Ball

Sunday, November 16th, 2008

In standing tradition we attended our local recruiters Marine Corps Ball.  This is an event we look forward to every year for two reasons, the first is being able to show our continued support of the most elite fighting force in the world.  (I know this pisses off the libs but so be it.)   The second is to be around like minded, hard charging, devil dogs.

During the ceremony the Commandant of the Marine Corps gave a video presentation for all the troops and attendees.  This year his message drew on the longevity of the fight against & with Islamic Fascism.  (Yes that’s what it’ called folks or a synonym “Iran”.)

Since most publicly educated children (if you can call it that) don’t get much history the Commandant was gracious enough to revisit the numerous islamo-facist bombings, which by the way didn’t start with President George W. Bush.  The most notorious bombing was the Marine Corps Barracks in Beirut, Lebanon in 1983 which killed 241 American servicemen: 220 Marines, 18 Navy personnel and three Army soldiers.  It was the single most largest bomb set off since World War II of Nagaski & Hiroshima (which by the way helped save the lives of countless Americans and drew a close to the war).

Next, we had the multiple bombings starting with Somlia , the first World Trade Center bomb, then the Kobar Towers, USS Cole,  Tanzania, and countless small bombings and killings of Americans world wide (many of which didn’t make much headlines during the 1990’s).  All of this culminating with the second World Trade Center bombing.

So for all you leftist out there thinking we are going to get along with these pieces of human debris, it begs the question when has appeasement worked and why hasn’t the US been attacked since 911?  Maybe because they’re busy protecting their ass from getting blown off by men and women that we were surrounded by last night, yes United States Marines.

This of course is not to disparage the flyboy office poggies, and our sea fearing naval brethren, or even those guys we so loving refer to as Army dogs, but as Ronald Regan said “Send in the Marines”.

Verse 1:

From the Halls of Montezuma
To the Shores of Tripoli;
We fight our country’s battles
In the air, on land and sea;
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean;
We are proud to claim the title
of United States Marine.

Verse 3:

Here’s health to you and to our Corps
Which we are proud to serve
In many a strife we’ve fought for life
And never lost our nerve;
If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven’s scenes;
They will find the streets are guarded
By United States Marines.

D9Firearms – Christmas Package “Silent Night”

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

Since the hand of God guides us and blesses us daily here at D9Firearms, it was the only appropriate we name this year’s Christmas package Silent NightSilent Night is cold, crisp, silent winter night suppressed 22LR bolt action rifle.  It is built with the Savage 93 w/accu trigger (laminated or synthetic stock) 21” bull barrel that is cut down to 19” and threaded (1/2×28) and comes with a thread protector.  A Nikon Prostaff 3×9x40 BDC scope is mounted using Warne medium rings to give full sight picture over the suppressor.  The suppressor will be a Yankee Hill Mite 22LR that threads directly on the barrel.

IMG_0729.JPG Shown above is the Savage 93 22LR, bull barrel with AAC .223 suppressor (YHM’s we not available for photo shoot and will be smaller in diameter.)

The rifles are currently at our local gunsmith of choice Mike Allee of “Gunsmithing Only”.  He expects to have the rifles ready by the first part of December.  We are expecting the suppressors in about the same time since we are only waiting on the Form 3 to clear.

We currently have 4 of the Silent Night’s in production and based on our response without advertising we will be adding another 5.  The price for a Silent Night, which includes hard case, suppressor, rifle, and mounted scope, will be $800.  ($775 for synthetic.)
If you are interested in a Silent Night please contact us at D9Firearms and may the blessings of God be upon you all.

D9Firearms – Consider a Hunting Rifle or Shotgun while waiting on your AR

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

We would like to mention that right now would also be an opportune time to pick up a nice hunting rifle.  The current barrage on handgun, AR, and home defense shotguns has left most wholesalers & dealers cleaned out along with some unscrupulous dealers jacking the cost exponentially.  However, there is a reasonable supply of sporting rifles and shotguns and although you may not find a garage sale bargain you can at least get one.

If you are interested in a new deer rifle we are always keen on recommending a Tikka T3.  These by far, have the smoothest & cleanest bolt operation, combined with a 2 – 4lb adjustable crisp trigger and out of the box sub MOA accuracy.  We can also provide optics and mounting as well.

Since we are not strongly experienced in the shotgun arena shoot us a line on what you are looking for and we will get you a quote.

D9Firearms – Still Arming the United States of America & the World

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

Currently we are experiencing an extremely high volume of calls and emails and to manage this we have chosen to temporarily direct your calls into voice mail.  We are checking voice messages at least twice during the day and once in the evening.  (We have to build your rifles sometime.)  When leaving your message please include your name, phone number, item you are interested in and an alternative, and your phone number a second time only slower this time.  On a few instances we have purged some voice messages before confirming the information and have lost the number.  Do not take personal offense, but please call back or email if you have not heard from us within 3 days.

We are in contact with our preferred manufactures and wholesalers several times a week.  We are still receiving AR-15, AR-10, & LR components, ammunition, and various handguns & shotguns.  However, the choices of firearms are now trending towards the higher end items since the more common ones are out of stock.  Also, we can still get Glocks, XDM’s, Taurus but they may have adjustable sights or low cap magazines, so when leaving a message leave an alternative to the model you are interested.  (Generally, adjustable sights are $20 - $25 more and night sights are about $40 - $50 more.  So I have made an executive decision to procure these.)

Concerning prices, some of our recent materials & firearms purchases were out of our normal supply chain and we have also been using more overnight and priority service deliveries. You will see a price increase on most items across the board, but it won’t be exponential.  However, we will raising our fees on for transfers to $25.  Lower receivers will be:

Rockriver $135

YHM - $125

Most other firearms will be within $5 - $10 of what our customary prices have been.  (This is mostly due to the shipping methods we are now using.)

However, we currently have the one of the following pistols available:

-Glock 19

-Glock 23

-Sig Saur P226

-Taurus “The Judge” (Excellent home defense)

-Taurus 24/7 9mm compact

-Kimber Pro Carry II (very nice)

-Springfield XDM 9mm

We also just latched on to a special purchase of HK USP-C 40SW pistols and have 5 available at $725.  So if you need an ultra reliable CCW handgun this is it.  (We can also get this in 9mm for the same price if we buy at least 5.)

As for rifles we only have parts kits available (that we can assemble for you) for the following using DPMS LR receivers:

-308 Mike Rock 20” SST bull (1)

-308 Kreiger 20” SDM SST (1)

-308 Wilson 20” SST bull (4) (2 weeks out for barrel delivery)

-308 Wilson 16” SST SDM (5) (6 weeks out for barrel delivery)

We will try and keep you updated as much as possible.  Again we apologize for the delay in trying to assist you but our goal is to provide outstanding customer service and excellent products.  Thanks for your patience.

Also, we are not taking orders or deposits for items we do not have on hand.  So if we quote you a price and tell you we have it, that means we have it, not some crap that in two weeks, which turns into 3 months, we’ll have it kind of BS.
Thanks D9.

D9Firearms – AR-15 & LR Update

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

With the recent turn of events D9 has been systematically purchasing recievers for the AR-15 and DPMS LR series rifles.  Currently our inventory of DPMS stripped lowers has been depleted but we have made a shift to acquire lowers from Rock River and Yankee Hill Machine until our supplier gets a new shipment of DPMS receivers in.

We won’t be selling mass quantities to anyone individual unless we ourselves can guarantee our inventory levels so we can continue providing custom rifles.  Personally we feel there will be a slight uptick in pricing and short term availability issues and have seen a small cost increase at the  wholesale level on the DPMS receivers, but nothing unexpected or egregious.  However, it does mean prices will increase at the retail level accordingly, but there is no reason for $200+ receivers at this point.  Currently our prices for .223 lowers will be as follows:

-DPMS - $130

-RRA - $125

-YHM - $115

We also have a small supply of A3 upper receivers for the .223 and have access to them.  Additionally, we have a variety of .223 barrels on hand that include:

-20” SST Varmint (White Oak)

-18” SST SDM (White Oak)

-16” Chrome lined (YHM)

-10.5” Chrome line (YHM)

-20” SST Varmint upper (RRA)

We are also in the process of setting up an account with Alexander Arms to start offering 6.5 Grendel barrels.

For our DPMS LR series in general we won’t be selling stripped lowers since we have a commitment with our barrel supplier to purchase several more custom barrels to hold us over until we receive more rifles from DPMS.  Currently we do have the following 308 barrels:

-20” SST Mike Rock bull

-20” SST Kreiger “SDM”

-20” SST Wilson bull (due in 3 weeks)

-16” SST Wilson SDM (due in 5 weeks)

Additionally, we are contemplating designing a 260 barrel but with our current inventory and amount on order we will want order confirmation prior to committing the investment.  If you’re interested in a 260 barrel please email us.  The two styles we would go with are 24” SST bull or 20” SST “SDM”.

If you are interested in a customized rifle please contact us here at D9.

D9Firearms – Topeka Gun Show AR/LR Blowout:

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

IMG_0651_1.JPGFor all of you that stopped by our table this weekend we appreciate the opportunity to meet and talk with you.  Of course if you were there you know it was somewhat difficult to spend an uninterrupted minute discussing your needs.  For those of you who were there and still have questions please give us a call.  I know several of you picked up our business card so hopefully you’ve checked out our website to see a history of products and services we have provided for our clients.

Several of you I remember from the last show and several of our existing clients we definitely appreciate all of you stopping by.  However, one of our clients who is really not a client but is a friend of a client, (we can’t use his real name since he’s a deputy here in Kansas and he would arrest me if I did) stopped by as well to invite D9 out for a little pheasant hunting.  (In about two months we’ll release Shaun’s name since we donated a rifle for a raffle he is setting up for one of his deputy colleague’s son who has cystic fibrosis.  We will let you know where to purchase raffle tickets at, unfortunately the pheasant location will be kept a secret.)

We brought out what was left of our custom DPMS rifles and several of our Mike Rock custom uppers for display both of which received lots of attention.  As of this post we are now out of custom DPMS rifles again and down to 3 Mike Rock customs. We also just received 5 of our Krieger barrels and only have 3 of those left as well.  We also sold a wheel barrel full of DPMS lowers and several complete lowers and will be able to fill the parts kit in a week for most of those.

We also brought out our special Christmas special package the “his & her’s” AR-15 special.  The “her’s” is a pink anodized Sun Devil matched billet receiver set, with a Yankee Hill 1:7 chrome lined barrel with Fabio compensator, RRA 2 stage trigger, and JP Vtac hand guard.   (This is a deceiving rifle, although it looks like a fake rifle or something that a homosexual may want, but will deliver a sustained, low recoil, sub moa, semi-automatic field of fire on any malcontent protestor who tries to abduct or attempt bodily harm, on your lovely & gracious wife, girl friend, or both and will leave them testicularly challenged.  For those of you who swing the other way don’t attempt to use this rifle, your gay so get over it.

The “his” version is typical of our classic bad-ass rifle used by most red meat eating, rock ribbed, alpha male, with babes in every port type of male.  (We will sell to those men who aspire to be like us as well.)  With YHM 4 free float four, RRA 2 stage NM trigger, 6 pos Magpul CTR, YHM 1:7 twist chrome lined diamond fluted barrel, with YHM QD suppressor flash hider.  (If you are a homosexual and desire to like women then this gun is for you.)

IMG_0658_1.JPG

We also had a few of our suppressors we recently acquired and we heard “is that real”.  Our response is “we only do real”.  We have a few more on order and should be able to start the Form 4 paper work process for a couple of you in the next several weeks.

Since the show it has been a non-stop barrage of emails and phones calls and customizing rifles.  With the exceptionally high call volume, we are encouraging people to email with their questions and provide a phone number.  This allows us to work through each request and spend the time necessary to answer all your questions.

D9Firearms - Can You Hear Us Now? Suppressors from Gemtech & AAC

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

IMG_0683.JPG

Shown above:  D9’s personal AR-15 with White Oak 16″ SDM 1:7 barrel, JP Vtac hand guard, AAC M4100 suppresor.

We just received our first delivery of suppressors from AAC & Gemtech.  Unfortunately we’ve only been able to check out the coolness factor by installing them on a couple of our AR & LR rifles.  We’ve had them on order for about 3 months now and are expecting a few more by mid November.

Currently we recieved the following types of cans:

.223 cans:
-AAC - M4-1000

-Gemtech - G5 5.56

7.62 cans:

-AAC - 762SD

-Gemtech -  HVT 7.62

We also have several more for the following calibers:

-9mm (SWR & YHM)

-.223 (YHM)

-45ACP (AAC)

-22LR (AAC, YHM, SWR)

IMG_0684.JPG

Our goal is to have a few available of each caliber for testing & demonstration.  Secondly we will focus primarily on cans that have a history and proven track record.  If you are interested in a suppressor other then what we currently have on hand or order let us know so we can start the process of getting one on order.  Lead times are typically 2 - 4 months.  We will start posting more information as well on the required process for the filling out the tax stamp (yes the government needs to stay in buisness, kind of like wind fall profits tax.)

D9Firearms – Cerakote Test on Mike Rock SST Barrel

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

While quickly becoming the go to company for customized DPMS LR rifles and custom precision LR rifles, D9Firearms invests in new products and options that our customers request.  We would like to take credit for some of the configurations we’ve built, but most of that credit goes to our clients who make these requests, we are just the company who delivers on those requests.

IMG_0694.JPG

Another such request has been to provide a coating for our custom Mike Rock barrels SST as well as the standard DPMS SST barrels for the all black rifle (there are no racial overtones in that statement for you brothers out there reading this post and we’re glad to have you on board.)  (As I tell my wife, once you black you never go back (she’s a combo of a Japanese ninja mother and a black American US Army solider, of course a Marine would have been better) some ninja Tiger action or as I refer to her as Blasian.)  However, I slightly digress about the ethnic make up of D9’s family, but it keeps it interesting.  And you can guess that we do not support Hussein Nobama.  Go Sarah.  (I can’t name you one of my clients that doesn’t think a gun toting, moose slaying, mini-skirt wearing woman (had to clarify that for any leftist), isn’t someone they would want on their team.)

After speaking with a couple of engineers I work with they directed me to our resident expert in car and tractor painting, Woods.  (That’s his real name.  In this situation we can use it because if any namby pamby, tofu eating, baloney smokers try to intimidate him, he’ll put a skull crushing death grip on their little pin heads.  He also ascribes to the philosophy that every household should have guns in them.)  However, Woods immediately jumped at the challenge of looking into doing a cerakote job on one of our Mike Rock SST barrels.

IMG_0692.JPG

The process he assured us was straight forward but with some risk since it was his first experience with this type of coating.  His concerns were how his sprayer would digest the compound, how would it spray, would it have a nice clean look, barrel preparation and other associated concerns.  But his enthusiasm for wanting to do this and simply knowing him, I knew he wouldn’t attempt something that he didn’t have confidence in that it wouldn’t turn out.  (Undersell and over deliver, Dale Carnegy.)

Woods brought the barrel in and described the process from the sand blasting, how material covered the barrel, the baking and setting up process and then presented us with our Mike Rock barrel that is now all non-reflective black.  We were impressed.  We immediately started looking at the next project in which we are going to do a camo APU project on one of D9’s custom AR-15 rifles that we are going to use for coyote hunting.

IMG_0691.JPG

So as expected Woods delivered for D9Firearms and we will now be offering cerakote for all stainless steel barrels.  As with all good things they come at a price, however, based on the process it is not as high as what we thought, but we will be coordinating so that we can send a couple of barrels at a time to him.  Additionally, from a standpoint of where we are with the barrel will determine cost as well.  For example if it’s a custom build upper where we don’t have to disassemble the upper or are going to disassemble the upper to install a new hand guard then the cost will be $45.  If it’s just a barrel project where we have to disassemble and reassemble the upper the cost will be $75.  Our goal is to be able to complete a coating job within two weekends.

If you are interested in having your stainless barrel coated please contact us.  We also plan to have an APU camo AR-15 within the next month.

D9Firearms - DPMS LR-260 24″ Custom Rifle

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

IMG_0632_1.JPGD9Firearms has just received a shipment of our custom LR-260 24″ SST fluted & threaded w/Miculek industrial rated varmint assassin rifles.  These are not your typical limp wristed, half baked chicom knock off rifles that some try and imitate by offering you cryo barrel freezing, JP trigger without the speed hammer, and other such illusions, which they have the factory perform.  No these are rifles specifically requested by D9 and then with the hand of God guiding him customizes each to the needs of the shooter.

Yes, we are pretty excited here to the point we can now start saying good things about DPMS again (just kidding Steve).  No, it’s been a long dry spell that has caused us and our clients lots of consternation.  However, it also forced us to be creative in offering different products based on the DPMS LR platform and it’s components, which we have been very successful in our endeavors and have plans for more custom barrels.  However, DPMS did deliver one of our big orders from back in January and you can tell by the excitement of one of our long time customers 7mm Luke, the bear hunter from Washington, it was a long wait:

Yahooooo!!!!!

Thanks so much for the update, Darrel.  The timing was perfect as I was just about to buy a new toy figuring that the .260’s would still be a while out.  I assume you still have my down payment from February on the books?

This is very exciting.

Thanks for the quote.  Can I have you make some additional adjustments to it to show me what the cost would be with some additional upgrades?

IMG_0637_1.JPG

Additionally, we had received one of our custom LR-308 24″ with threaded fluted barrel for a customer up in Nebraska who had also been waiting about 5 months and was totally pumped and him and his two boys drove down this morning and just checked out with their custom rifle.  They should even have time to take it out yet today.
So we are gearing up to fill a couple of back orders and still have some available.  We have them with a collapsible stock (which I ordered for the buffer parts in the event we had some CAA SRS stocks available, and we can change it to anything you want), and with a 4 rail as well.  We also received two LR-308 rifles 24″.

IMG_0630.JPG

IMG_0638_1.JPG

So if you are interested in a custom long range rifle please give us a call.
